Toshiya

Toshiya is definitely one of the best Japanese restaurants in North Sydney.
It's a small Japanese restaurant located in Cremorne.
So remember to make your reservation!

I do recommend to order dishes from their specials menu.
I've ordered two dishes from it and it both tasted really good.

Mixed Sashimi : Tuna, Salmon and Kingfish, Oysters & Scallops ($22)

Wow.
This plate was SO delicately put together.
Who would've thought a plate of sashimi could be this good.

Everything tasted amazingly fresh.
& Every piece of fish was just sliced to perfection.
The thickness is just enough for you to appreciate the flavour of the fish.
Even the oysters tasted amazing.
It did not at all have that nasty mud taste that's usually associated with oysters.

Spicy Dragon Roll w/ chili oil ($?)

This was ordered from their 'specials' menu.
I was impressed when this arrived.
It just looks so pretty!
If I remember correctly, there was scallops in there too. Yum!
The touch of chili oil also gives a spicy kick in your mouth, which is always nice :)

A closer view for your pleasure.

Sukiyaki Wagyu Beef Hot Pot ($24)

We ordered something else (can't remember) but I did not take a photo of it.
But this hotpot was a nice finish to our meal.
Though, it's quite light so it might not be enough for heavy eaters.
Overall, the experience was pretty good!

Every dish we ordered was well executed.
Easily recommended to anyone :)
