buka puasa = "to open the fast"

It's fasting month in Malaysia!

The Muslims fast from 6am to 6pm daily.

Apparently they're not even allowed to swallow their own saliva during fasting. wtf? Not sure if true.

The best part during this period is that there's pop-up stalls every day!

I think i saw more than 100 stalls. All selling malay food :) So much variety.

It's a really good chance to try some traditional malay food. mmm.

Cakui Kahwin - it's like yao char kwai with kaya and butter.
Johor Laksam - some traditional dish, the soup's really pepper-y.
Murtabak - stuffed pancake. it had veggies so i don't like :/
Asam Laksa - i think most people knows this, was bland. yuck.
Sayap - BBQ chicken wings. nom.
Mee Goreng - fried noooooodles. nom.
Ayam Penyet - indonesian-style fried chicken. nom.
