hello!
ughhhhhhhhhhh been so caught up lately;
studies
like seriously, so much work.
& it's piling up especially cause exam's are approaching D: !!!
but i've left my blog dead for way too long
so here's a post about my car hunting :)
CAR.
yep :D
been hunting for a second-hand car for about a month now
generally looking for a small hatchback
with budget of about $10k-15k
i've changed my mind SO many times
it gets frustrating :/
1) Mini Cooper
the FIRST ever car that came in mind even before i started being serious about getting a car :P
i would be a pretty sweet ride
but it's a little out of my price range yo :(
2) Holden Barina Spark
a cheap little first car, australian made
it looks pretty good
but unless i can buy it brand new, i heard this car is bad..
so um, better stay away from it.
3) Toyota Prius (hybrid)
this car caught me because i thought it was pretty modern
being an hybrid and all
so i actually went for a test drive for this one
i ended up not liking the car overall
it looked okay in pictures
but it's a weird weird car.
plus, the car that i inspected was dirty and the plastic in the front bumper was snapped off
:/
4) Honda Jazz
nifty little car
and this picture is the 2012 honda jazz
so the face it's pretty cool and modern
the older second jazzes however
has a 'dumber' face.
and i'm not too sure i want that. LOL
there wasn't any good deals on carsales too
if there's a good deal on the newer honda jazz
i might come back on this one
hmm
5) Peugeot 207
next, peugeot 207
looks good to me
but peugeots have a bad reputation
like it's not reliable
even though, i did have a serious thought about this
but there wasn't any good second-hand deals in carsale
no grey peugeots :/
in the end? pass.
6) Toyota Corolla
this, was just yesterday
had an inspection for a 2008 grey toyota corolla
looks pretty good
plus it's grey
i kinda have a thing for grey/gunmetal cars
however, there was like tiny little dents/scratches/patches ALL over the car :/
what the hell
some parts i don't even know how could possibly damage it
however despite that, i still think it was a pretty good deal (14k)
new registration, new tyres, nice colour(grey is pretty rare)
and THEN i did a vehicle history check
i found out that this car has been in a car crash which may have damaged the chassis
yikes
bumps down it's re-sale value like ALOT
bummer.
i seriously thought it would've been my final decision :/
7) Suzuki Swift
(my next/current aim)
sooo we're back to a supermini
at first i didn't like swifts
but it's starting to grow on me
the mods that you can do on this car is insane
and i found out it's seriously good value for money
like for the same amount of money as the grey corolla (14k)
i get sport seats, leather steering & leather shift knob
& no insane amount of scratches
:D
with the right mods, this car can look pretty sporty :D
i'll have an inspection once again this weekend.
hopefully all goes well!
--------------------------------------------
at the moment i'm like forcing myself to go to e-library nearly everyday
i just can't study at home
my desktop is so evil
with all the tv shows and my speakers
:/ it's distraction at it's best
*more updates at the end of the week :)
gotta buckle up and study!
