melbourne!
Thursday, September 22, 2011 | Posted by CalvinTCQ ♣ | 0 footsteps ♠

here's the melbourne post i've been meaning to write about
prepare for a LONG ASS post!

so yeah, we went to melbourne for 4 days 3 nights
it wasn't as fun as i thought it would be
didn't really go to alot of places to be honest
it was still a good trip though!

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Places we went :
mainly around the city
Melbourne Museum
Phillip Island
some port i forgot where the fucking seagulls took a dump on my hair
some wildlife park
Crown Casino
Direct Factory Outlet (DFO)
-------------------------------------------------------------------

i've compiled photos from the entire trip
took me a while
but it's finally finished!
here we go!

**
you may notice there isn't much photo's of people
our group doesn't really camwhore
so we only take pictures when there's something to take with
or group shots!
**

shots from around the city :)

there's quite some interesting buildings in the city
Melbourne's known for its fusion between old & modern/artistic buildings
it's like a heaven for photographers i reckon

a pretty cool looking bridge

oooooooh and melbourne uses the tram system!
which is one of the most efficient public transport i've seen
unlike sydney's public transport system
which is so out of date & a MAJOR ripoff

this particular tram is a free city tram
looks pretty cool
it's the only traditional tram around

HAHAHA
MELBOURNE SO RUDE.
i'm guessing it was meant to be dick smith

the all famous chinatown
i swear this is like the largest chinatown in australia
it spans up to 4 blocks
!!

Wildlife park/Some Port/Phillip Island

day 2, we went on a day tour to all these places
first stop, wildlife park!(a really small one)

pictures of some animals, LOL

yeah, just usual animals you'd see in australia

kangaroo's chillin'

after the wildlife park
we went to this port
i totally forgot what it was called
it's actually where seagulls build their nest
so there's seagulls flying EVERYWHERE D:
one of which pooped on my hair
...
FML

i'm guessing these are their nests....?

the guys. hah

group shot

went to phillip island after
known for it's penguins
they didn't allow camera's inside
so here's just a poster shot of the penguins we saw
was pretty cool
we saw actual penguins swim from the sea back to its nest
they're not the prettiest penguins but they're still so cute!

museum/casino

melbourne museum
no idea why it looks like that
possibly still under construction?
or it's an artistic design?
LOL don't know
melbourne you confuse me

we went in for the Tutankhamun Exhibition
again, they didn't allow camera's inside
was a pretty decent exhibition
nicely crafted(?) / exhibited :)

the entrance to crown casino!

the building itself
i forgot to take photos inside the casino arghhhhhh
regretting.
it was my first time going into a casino though :D
played roulette
20$ lost
)*#$&(*$)@#
never playing that again
ripoff ): ):

randoms

my friend tried to do the 360deg photosynth
fail HAHA

Nando's om nom nom nom

lemon meringue!!
OH YOU GUYS MUST GO HERE IF U COME TO MELB
it's a desert shop called brunetti
they make AMAZING macarons
or any other desert really
i had tiramisu macaron and i swear it tasted like heaven
kinda
HAHA
but really it was soo good.

at the airport back to sydney.

that's everything!
phew.
all in all melbourne was quite enjoyable
looking forward for more trips in the future
:)
